The University has once again showed resourcefulness amidst the pandemic by presenting this year Virtual Orientation. Freshmen, transferees and parents were invited to watch and provided attendance and feedback link. The video showed the history of CAPSU from its conversion, different campuses and satellite colleges. University’s thrust thru its Vision, Mission and Objectives were clearly stated. Key officials from the Central Administration and heads of different campuses and colleges are shown also. Course offerings and University’s striking points describe its strength. Congratulations to the different OSA Chairpersons, who together made this virtual orientation possible!
CapSU Dayao Extension Office on Action
CapSU Dayao Extension Office headed by Engr. Rio L. Vergabera, in coordination with CapSU Central RDE Office conducted a Workshop-Seminar on Video Editing to selected faculty and staff extensionist to the different campuses and satellite colleges of the University. The objective is to produced video training materials to be given to the different beneficiaries of the extension program activities. This was materialized by the head of RDE Dr. Emelita Solante and Dr. Lucy A. Beluso, Vice President for Research and Extension.
CapSU Dayao Faculty Prepares for the New Normal Learning Modalities
Educators Retool for the challenges. . .
Educators face a new challenge, adopting to the “new normal”. This entail a lot of preparations, even without face to face classroom discussion, are now integrating Blended Learning Modality. Blended Learning encompasses the combination of different learning modalities from the Offline using printed media, etc and ONLINE using multiple online platforms from teaching to learning. Halfway through, uncertainties and different expectations pop outs both from students and teachers. Rest assured, as guardian and missionary of quality education, teachers will emerge more than what is expected. Kudos to all teachers !

CapSU Course
The Capiz State University Dayao Campus, Dayao Roxas City will end its 2nd semester SY 2008 – 2009. Its Recognition Day is scheduled this March 25, 2009 at the 3rd Floor Criminology Department. Students with honors and various citations will be recognize for their efforts as well as the faculty. Graduation Day this is scheduled March 27, 2009 8:00 AM at the Capiz State University Main Campus. It is a momentous occasion with mix emotions of joy, sadness where students will reap their hardships and begin a new journey in life.

Computer Week 2009
The Computer Education Department celebrated its Computer Week 09 last February 5-6,2009 with a Theme: ” Knowledge, Talents, Skills, and Values Enrichment Towards Improvement Unity of the Filipino Youth”. In involved Skills Competitition, Variety Shows, Battle of the Bands and Seminars on the latest trend on ICT technology.
Engr. Zandro A. Amanguiton welcomed the guests, faculty and students who attended the opening program. He emphasized the objective of the celebration on which to provide an avenue to allow students to enhance their knowledge, talents, skills and values to develop responsiveness, camaraderie, respect and discipline. It is also one way to bring the students of every department closer.
The Guest Speaker was PD Victor G. Gallego of the TESDA Capiz Provincial Office gave words of encouragement and advise to the computer students.
Dr. Herminia B. Gomez, VP for Academic Affairs also inspired students to make good of their studies.
Dr. Lucy A. Beluso, Campus Administrator congratulates the computer department for being prepared and organized and promised to support by having additional computers.
Dr. Edna M. Nava, Dean of Academic Programs closed the opening program and advised the students to use the technology in a fruitful and meaningful manner.
